As we continue to do this, however, a thought still lingers: "What about those in need? the people exposed to the dangers of the outside world? the ones who are susceptible to most danger?"
So long have we been trapped inside our allegorical birdcage that we've forgotten what it was like being open, threatened by the dangers that lurk beyond? While we indulge with our privilege here, people starve and lose everything they have.
Day in and out, the same routine for the past week, month, and year even, such are the troubled times we are facing this quarantine.
Locked inside one's own houses, only allowed to egress when need be. No longer able to be with our friends, not even with some of our relatives.
All we can do now is walk about within small confines, it's at this time in our lives where we are turning to our hobbies and coping mechanisms. Some paint and draw to pass the time. Some dance their worries away. Some write and go on imaginary worlds. And others surf the web, interacting with people online, checking the trends, and spreading the news about the world.
